TAMMY ABERNATHY DEMBY

obituaryTammy Abernathy Demby, age 49, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

She was born on January 5, 1971, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Orlin Abernathy and Doris Judy Crumpton Abernathy Chitwood.  She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Temperance Demby; and her parents, Orlin “Red” Abernathy and Judy Chitwood.

She is survived by her twin sons, Dylan and Kansas Demby of Atlanta, Texas and Justin and Victoria Demby of Douglasville, Texas; her three grandchildren, Everett, Asher and Kashton Demby and one grandson on the way, Ripley Demby; her stepfather, Gary Chitwood of Royal; her brother, Richard Abernathy of Story; and her nephews, Brandon Abernathy and Zachary Abernathy.   

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2020, in the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Chitwood officiating.

Visitation wase held Saturday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the services at the church.

Interment was held in the Mount Olive Cemetery, in Oden.

Pallbearers were Dylan Demby, Justin Demby, Dwight Abernathy, Richard Abernathy, Brandon Abernathy and Zack Abernathy.
