Local schools to host postseason tournaments

The Caddo Hills Indians have added to the list of host sites for postseason basketball tournaments after being awarded the Regional Tournament for 1A Region 4.

Caddo Hills has been a frequent host for district and regional tournaments over the years and looks forward to hosting again. 1A Region 4 includes teams from the 7-1A and 8-1A Conferences.

They join conference rival Kirby who will host the 7-1A Senior High District Tournament. Kirby will also play host to the 1A State Tournament which will be held at Lake Hamilton High School. The 7-1A Junior District Tournament will be held at Blevins.

Other 1A regional tournament host sites include: Region 1 (1&4 Conferences) – Alpena, Region 2 (2&3 Conferences) – Hillcrest, Region 3 (5&6 Conferences) – Bradford.

Mount Ida will will play host to the 7-2A Senior District Tournament this year while Gurdon will play host to the 7-2A Junior District Tournament.

Fordyce will host the 2A South Regional tournament which is comprised of teams from the 7-2A and 8-2A Conferences. Quitman will host the 2A State Tournament.

Other 2A regional tournament sites include: North (3&6) – Clarendon, Central (5 North& 5 South) – Pangburn and West (1&4) – Eureka Springs.

3A Regional Tournament sites include: Region 1 (1West & 1East) – Waldron, Region 2 (4&5) – Jessieville, Region 3 (2&3) – Harding, Region 4 (7&8) Drew Central.

4A Regional Tournament sites include: North (1&4) – Berryville, East (3&5) – Valley View, South (7&8) – Crossett.

Other state tournament locations include: 6A – Bryant, 5A – Russellville, 4A – Farmington and 3A – Charleston.
