Polk County sees huge drop in active cases, Montgomery County reports four active cases

Montgomery County remains among the counties with the fewest reported active cases this week with four active COVID-19 cases being reported Tuesday morning.

Only Calhoun (two) and Prairie (three) counties have fewer reported active cases with Lafayette County reporting four active cases as well.

Montgomery County has reported four new cases in the past week with 1,128 cumulative cases being reported. There have been 1,080 recoveries and 44 deaths reported.

As a state, Arkansas is reporting 510,406 cumulative cases and 497,067 recoveries. There have been 3,308 new cases reported in the past week with 4,912 active cases being reported Tuesday morning. Arkansas has reported 8,292 COVID-19 related deaths.

COVID related numbers in surrounding counties vary with Polk and Scott County showing huge decreases.

Hot Spring County remains the most infected with 122 active cases. They have reported 50 new cases in the past week. They have had 7,605 cumulative cases, 7,375 recoveries and 105 deaths.

Garland County continues to see a decrease in active cases with 108 reported Tuesday morning. This is down from 126 last Tuesday. They have reported 65 new cases in the past week with 15,941 cumulative cases, 15,443 recoveries and 388 deaths.

Clark County saw an increase in active cases with 51 reported Tuesday morning versus 45 last week. They have reported 38 new cases in the past week with 3,230 cumulative cases, 3,122 recoveries and 55 deaths.

Yell County is reporting 43 active cases and 30 new cases in the past week. They have had 4,640 cumulative cases, 4,518 recoveries and 78 deaths.

Howard County is reporting 38 active cases and 29 new cases in the past week. They have had 2,425 cumulative cases, 2,352 recoveries and 35 deaths.

Polk County experienced the largest decrease in active cases with 18 being reported Tuesday opposed to 54 last Tuesday. Their have only been eight new cases reported in the past week with 2,978 cumulative cases, 2,850 recoveries and 109 deaths.

Scott County also reported a double digit decline with 18 active cases opposed to 29 last Tuesday. They have had eight new cases in the past week with 1,717 cumulative cases, 1,670 recoveries and 29 deaths.

Pike County finally dipped back below the 20 active cases line with 17 active cases reported. They have had 15 new cases in the past week, 1,703 cumulative cases, 1,651 recoveries and 35 deaths.
