Montgomery County active COVID case count second lowest in state

As of Monday, November 3, Montgomery County was reporting the second lowest number of active COVID-19 cases in the state according to the Arkansas Department of Health website.

Montgomery County was reported to have four active cases Monday, just two more than Dallas County who was reporting two active cases. Montgomery County Judge Sammy Jones had reported only two active cases Monday morning. However, these lower numbers were not reported on the state’s website yet.

Montgomery County is reporting 188 cumulative cases. This includes 185 confirmed cases and three probable cases. There have been 176 recoveries (173 confirmed, 3 probable) and eight total deaths related to the virus. This is a total of six additional cases from one week ago.

There have been 3,192 total test performed on Montgomery County residents with 3,005 negative results (2,702 PCR Negatives, 303 Antigen Negatives). There were 159 tests performed in the past week.

Garland County’s case count continues to rise with their number of active cases rising to 293 from 241 last Monday. They are reporting 252 confirmed cases and 41 probable cases. They have 2,660 cumulative cases (2,536 confirmed, 124 probable), 2,294 recoveries (2,216 confirmed, 78 probable) and 73 deaths (68 confirmed, five probable).

Hot Spring County has also seen their active case numbers trend upward with an increase for the second straight week. They reported 164 active cases Monday (155 confirmed, 9 probable), 39 more than last week. Overall they are reporting 97 more cases with 2,300 cumulative cases this Monday (2,267 confirmed, 33 probable) compared to 2,203 last week. They have 2,099 recoveries (2,077 confirmed, 22 probable) and 37 deaths (35 confirmed, 2 probable).

Howard County is reporting 52 active cases (38 confirmed,14 probable), 625 cumulative (558 confirmed, 67 probable), 559 recoveries (506 confirmed, 53 probable) and 14 deaths.

Howard County is reporting 40 active cases (31 confirmed, 9 probable), 578 cumulative (524 confirmed, 54 probable), 524 recoveries (479 confirmed, 45 probable) and 14 deaths.

Clark County reported a slight decline in cases with 43 active cases (25 confirmed, 18 probable), three less than last week. They have 533 cumulative cases (473 confirmed, 60 probable), 485 recoveries (443 confirmed, 42 probable) and 5 deaths.

Scott County has seen a drastic decline in active cases since last week. They have dropped over 30 active cases since last week. Monday they were reporting 41 active cases (30 confirmed, 11 probable), down from 72 last week. They have had 233 cumulative cases (212 confirmed, 21 probable), 190 recoveries (180 confirmed, 10 probable) and 2 deaths.

Yell County is reporting 34 active cases (30 confirmed, 4 probable), 1,372 cumulative (1,353 confirmed, 19 probable), 1,306 recoveries (1,294 confirmed, 12 probable) and 32 deaths (29 confirmed, 3 probable).

Polk County is reporting 26 active cases (21 confirmed, 5 probable), 378 cumulative (365 confirmed, 13 probable), 347 recoveries (339 confirmed, 8 probable) and five deaths.

Pike County is reporting 16 active cases (13 confirmed, 3 probable), 277 cumulative (264 confirmed, 13 probable), 260 recoveries (251 confirmed, 9 probable) and one probable death. This is an increase of four active cases over last week and 11 cumulative cases since last week.

Statewide there are 113,641 cumulative cases reported with 104,703 confirmed cases and 8,938 probable cases. This is equivalent to roughly half the population of Little Rock.

There have been 101,507 recoveries. There 10,135 active cases reported Monday with 8,209 confirmed cases and 1926 probable cases.
