CADDO HILLS – Emerson wraps up the 1A Region 4 Tournament with a 58-49 victory over Ouachita to finish as the Three Seed going into next week’s 1A State Tournament. Kirby defeated Caddo Hills by a score of 67-42 to earn the Three Seed from the Men’s Bracket.
Ouachita jumped out to a 12-4 lead in the first period and held a 27-19 lead at the half. Emerson methodically picked away at their lead in the third and closed strong with a 25-13 run in the final period to win the game by nine. Lexi Pyle led Emerson with17 points. Kinzy Pasley led Ouachita with 18.
Emerson will play County Line on Thursday, March 5 at 4 p.m.
Ouachita will play the Alpena on Tuesday, March 3 at 4 p.m.

The Kirby Trojans ends their regional tournament with a 67-42 victory over the host team Caddo Hills. Kirby jumped out to a 23-12 lead in the first period and held a 40-22 lead at the half. They outscored Caddo Hills 27-20 in the second half to preserve the win. Cameron Gaither led Kirby with 19 points. Connor KinCannon led Caddo Hills with 16.
Kirby will face Jasper Thursday, March 5, at 5:30 p.m.
Caddo Hills will face the New School Tuesday, March 3, at 5:30 p.m. The New School is coached by Coach Josh Ferrell’s father, David Ferrell.
Kirby will host the 1A State Tournament at the Lake Hamilton High School Gymnasium in Pearcy.
