Earl Raines

Earl Raines, 75, of Mount Ida, Arkansas, passed away on March 11, 2020, in Hot Springs, AR. He was born December 30, 1944, in Winslow, Arizona, to the late William McKinley Raines and Verla Pauline (Waddle) Raines. Earl is preceded in death by both his parents, wife; Pamela Raines, brother; Pete Raines, 2 half-brothers; Jimmy Raines and Billy Raines.

Earl is survived by his wife; Wanda Smalling Raines, 4 daughters; Jennifer (Jonathan) Rowland, Ashlee (Jay) Gibson, Amanda (Chad) Jennings, Sarah (Noah) Lee, grandchildren; Brady and Austin Rowland, Jeremy, Jacob and Haylee Gibson, Lanie and Beth Jennings, Abigail and Matthew Lee, a sister; Mary (Lamar) Morris, a brother; John (Margaret) Raines, step-sons; Steven (Leane) Smalling and Kevin Smalling, step-grandchildren; Tyler, Lance, Olivia and Raquel Smalling, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Mount Ida. Visitation was held Friday, March 13th, 2020, 1-2pm at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Ida, Arkansas with a service held at 2pm, with Rev. Jim Ivy, Rev. Noah Lee, and Rev. Jay Gibson officiating. Pallbearers will be Brady Rowland, Austin Rowland, Jeremy Gibson, Jacob Gibson, Matthew Lee, Tyler Smalling, Lance Smalling, and James Herrington Jr. Burial was conducted Saturday, March 14th, 2020, 12pm, at the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery in Alexander, Arkansas.
