Williams announces candidacy for County Judge race

Bart Williams has announced his candidacy for Montgomery County Judge in the upcoming 2022 election.
His statement reads as follows:
“Today I am announcing my candidacy for Montgomery County Judge. I have lived most of my life in Montgomery County, going to school in Mount Ida and then marrying my wife Karen, and we have been married for 41 years. We have two grown children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grand children, and my family and I are all active members of First Baptist Church of Mount Ida.
For the past 15 years I have worked for the Montgomery County Road Department working on road and bridge crews, driving trucks and operating equipment. For the past six years I have been the County Road Department Foreman and now Superintendent, and during that time I have worked hard to ensure that Montgomery County has the best roads in our area, if not the state.
I have supplemented monies for our county by writing several grants to build bridges and complete construction projects. I have also kept the Road Department Fiscally secure in my tenure and I plan to continue to put your tax dollars to the best use possible.
The citizens of Montgomery County have a wonderful group of dedicated hard-working individuals in the Road Department that come from all over the county, and they take great pride in what they do. The citizens of Montgomery County also have great representation in all the elected positions in the Courthouse, and if elected, I will work with each of them to instill the same work ethic and fiscal responsibility I have shown in my current position.
We are blessed to live in such a beautiful county, and I would be honored to be your next Montgomery County Judge.”
