Pine Ridge boxer working her way to national tournament

Sally Davison hopes to continue her journey to a national championship this week as she travels to Searcy to compete in the Silvergloves Region Six Boxing Tournament.

Davison, a 13 year old amateur boxer who lives in Pine Ridge, advanced to Thursday’s tournament with a state championship in April. She won the 86 pound state championship with a walkover win.

She currently has a six and two amateur record and recently was ranked 2nd nationally in the 85 pound division.

Sally is the daughter of John and Zieka Davison of Pine Ridge Arkansas. She is homeschooled and boxes under Coach Richard Hexamer of Defenders Boxing Club based out of Mena.
