Montgomery County reports second lowest active COVID numbers in state

Montgomery County is reporting the second lowest number of active cases in the state. They are tied with Dallas County at three cases. Only Prairie County has fewer with two reported active cases.
Montgomery County has had 1,108 cumulative cases with two new cases reported in the past week. They have had 1,062 recoveries and 43 COVID related deaths.
There have been 4,832 active cases reported in Arkansas in the past seven days, down from 5,137 reported last week. As of Tuesday morning there were 6,889 active cases, nearly 2,000 fewer than last week’s total of 8,535. There have been 503,089 cumulative cases, 487,940 recoveries and 8,132 COVID related deaths reported.
While Montgomery County has definitely moved in the right direction with the virus, results vary in bordering counties.
Pike County reported 20 active cases Tuesday morning, the same as last week. They have reported 22 new cases in the past week. They have had 1,670 cumulative cases, 1,615 recoveries and 35 virus related deaths.
Garland County has also shown a decrease with 122 active cases, 63 fewer than the previous week. They have reported 112 new cases in the past week, 15,768 cumulative cases, 15,265 recoveries and 379 deaths.
Scott County is reporting 33 active cases, 26 fewer cases than last Tuesday. They have reported 20 new cases in the past seven days, with 1,688 cumulative cases, 1,626 recoveries and 29 deaths.
Clark County has seen a sharp decline in active cases with 36 active cases reported, 30 fewer than the previous week. They have had 26 new cases reported. They have had 3,159 cumulative cases reported, 3,067 cumulative cases and 54 deaths.
Howard County is steady at 39 active cases reported. They have reported 28 new cases in the past seven days, 2,366 cumulative cases, 2,292 recoveries and 35 deaths.
Yell County has seen a slight decrease in active cases with 63 reported. This is six fewer than last Tuesday. They have reported 42 new cases with 4,,574 cumulative cases, 4,433 recoveries and 77 deaths.
Polk County saw their active cases count nearly double in the past seven days with 65 cases being reported Tuesday. They were reporting 33 active cases last Tuesday. They have reported 58 new cases in the previous seven days with 2,935 cumulative cases, 2,762 recoveries and 107 deaths.
Hot Spring County reported 96 active cases Tuesday morning, 34 more cases than last Tuesday. They have reported 68 new cases in the previous seven days with 7,465 cumulative cases, 7,261 recoveries and 106 deaths.
