Robert Herrington has been charged with a Y felony in relation to a recent investigation into his alleged involvement with domestic abuse case that involved a juvenile female.
Herrington had his first appearance last Friday on one count of introduction of a controlled substance into another person’s body. This is a class Y felony. A formal arraignment hearing was scheduled for September 3.
Herrington was charged earlier with domestic battery 3rd degree, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
According to a report released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, they received a call on August 20, at 6:36 a.m. reporting that a juvenile female was being subjected to an unknown controlled substance.
The juvenile was transported to CHI St. Vincent Hospital before being transferred to the child advocacy center. The investigation into the call and the juvenile allegedly revealed a domestic abuse issue. The evidence collected led to the arrest of Robert L. Herrington.
The investigation is ongoing. The Department of Human Services is also conducting their own investigation.
