Early Voting begins February 18

Early voting for the primary election in Montgomery County will begin Tuesday, February 18 at the Montgomery County Courthouse Annex Building located at 117 Ray Drive in Mount Ida.  

Early voting hours will be from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both Saturdays.  Early voting will end Monday, March 2 at 5 p.m.

Most of the contested statewide elections are judicial positions. 

Judge Morgan “Chip” Welch and Barbara Womack Webb  are running for State Supreme Court Associate Justice Position 4 and  Prosecuting Attorney Stephanie Potter Barrett and Emily White are running for Court Of Appeals Associate Justice District 4 Position 2.

Patrick McDaniel and Prosecuting Attorney Andy Riner are running for the District 18 West Circuit Court Judge position.

There is one statewide Republican race contested with Representative Marcus Richmond facing Jim Reynolds.

The Presidential Primary elections for both the Democratic and Republican parties will also be on the ballot.

The Primary Election will be held Tuesday, March 3 from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Voting Centers include: Mount Tabor Church, Lake Ouachita Baptist Church, Montgomery County Annex, Norman City Hall and Pencil Bluff Fire Station.
