7-1A, 7-2A District Tournaments tip off tonight

Oden and Mount Ida will see action tonight in first round action of the 7-1A and 7-2A District Tournaments to be held in Kirby and Mount Ida respectively.

The 7-1A Tournament will tip off tonight at 5:30 p.m. with two games. The senior girls tournament will begin at 5:30 p.m. with Trinity Christian and Umpire facing one another. The winner will face Oden’s girls at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The Oden Timberwolves will face Umpire at 7 p.m. Monday to kick off the senior boys tournament. The winner will face Blevins Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Other Tuesday games will include Mineral Springs and Mountain Pine senior girls at 7 p.m. and Mineral Springs and Trinity Christian boys at 8:30 p.m.

The 7-2A Tournament will tip off tonight at 4 p.m. with four games on the schedule.

Gurdon and Foreman will tip off at 4 p.m. to start the girl’s tournament, followed by Murfreesboro and Cossatot River in the boys bracket. The Mount Ida Lady Lions will face Dierks at 7 p.m. and the boys from Horatio and Gurdon will wrap up the night at 8:30 p.m.

Tuesday will begin at 4 p.m. with Horatio facing the winner of the Gurdon/Foreman girls game. The Mount Ida Lions will see action at 5:30 p.m. as they face the winner of the Murfreesboro Cossatot River boys game. The Murfreesboro Lady Rattlers will face the winner of the Mount Ida/Dierks game at 7 p.m. and Foreman will play at 8:30 p.m. against the winner of the Horatio/Gurdon game.

Quarterfinals of the 7-1A Tournament will be held Wednesday with Blevins facing the winner of the Tuesday 4 p.m. game. Mountain Pine will play at 5:30 p.m. and will face the winner of the Tuesday 5:30 p.m. game. Caddo Hills girls will face the winner of the Tuesday 7 p.m. game at 7 p.m. Wednesday and the Caddo Hills boys will wrap things up at 8:30 p.m. against the winner of the Tuesday 8:30 p.m. game.

Semifinals for both tournaments will be held Thursday with games beginning at 4 p.m.

The 7-1A Tournament semifinals will begin at 4 p.m. with the Ouachita Lady Warriors facing the winner of the Wednesday 7 p.m. game. The Ouachita Warriors will play at 5:30 p.m. against the winner of the Wednesday 8:30 p.m. game. The Kirby Lady Trojans will play at 7 p.m. against the winner of the Wednesday 4 p.m. game and the Trojans will play at 8:30 p.m. against the winner of the Wednesday 5:30 p.m. game.

7-1A Tournament finals will be held Saturday with the girls playing at 5 p.m. and the boys playing at 6:30 p.m.

The 7-2A Tournament semifinals will begin at 4 p.m. with the Acorn Lady Tigers facing the winner of the Tuesday 4 p.m. game. The Dierks Outlaws will play at 5:30 p.m. against the winner of the Tuesday 5:30 p.m. game. Cossatot River girls will face the winner of the Tuesday 7 p.m. game at 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by Acorn Tigers facing the winner of the Tuesday 8:30 p.m. game.

Finals for the 7-2A Tournament will be held Saturday with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys playing at 7:30 p.m.
