It looks like the race for Governor will pass through Montgomery County as Sarah Huckabee Sanders launches a 15 stop Freedom Tour across Arkansas with a boat parade on Lake Ouachita Labor Day weekend.
The Sarah Huckabee Sanders for Governor campaign has announced a 15 stop Freedom Tour across Arkansas. The tour will include a boat parade, Labor Day Rally featuring John Rich, and a pancake breakfast honoring our nation’s heroes on the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The tour will begin on Sunday, September 5th, and end on Saturday, September 11th.
“The freedoms we are blessed with as Arkansans and Americans are always worth fighting for. Socialism and government control are destined to fail – freedom is the foundation and the hope for our great state and country. I am excited to continue taking this message to every corner of Arkansas during our Freedom Tour. I love our state and care about our people, and as governor I will not be intimidated by the serious challenges we face. I will always stand for what’s right – not what’s politically correct or convenient,” Sanders said.
The Freedom Tour will open with a splash thanks to a boat parade scheduled to begin at Mountain Harbor Resort on Lake Ouachita. Sanders spoke last year at a boat parade held at the same location which drew over 1,500 boats in support of then President Donald Trump.
Sanders is one of two Republican women hoping to become the first female governor to serve the state of Arkansas. She is running against Attorney General Leslie Rutledge on the Republican ticket.
The tour will also include stops in Benton, Conway, Russellville, Fort Smith, Mountain Home, Jonesboro, McGee, El Dorado, Arkadelphia, Texarkana, Cabot, Searcy and Springdale.
