Mount Ida Chamber announces Small Business Scavenger Hunt

The Mount Ida Area Chamber of Commerce wants to invite everyone to join them in their inaugural Small Business Saturday Scavenger Hunt November 30.

Thanksgiving weekend has grown into the biggest shopping time of the year with many retailers’ year depending heavily on holiday sales. The Mount Ida Area Chamber of Commerce wants people to remember that many of the best deals and most unique gifts can be found right here at home.

The scavenger hunt is a fun way for people to shop Montgomery County as part of their Thanksgiving holiday shopping experience.

All participants are asked to gather at 10 a.m. November 30 at the Chamber office located at 124 Highway 270 in Mount Ida. Each participant will be given a list of questions with the answers to be found at each of the participating businesses. Scavenger hunters will then travel to each of the participating businesses and find the answer. Once they have collected all the answers they will return to the Chamber office at 4 p.m. with prizes awarded to the winners.

Participating businesses include: The Montgomery County Council for the Performing Arts, Bluebell Cafe, Mount Ida Printing Company, Real Earth Creations, Gap Mercantile, Heritage House Museum, Mount Ida Flea Market, Ouachita Artists Gallery and Studio, Bates Sales and Service and Mountain Harbor Resort.

The scavenger hunt offers an opportunity to support local businesses while getting ready for the holidays.
