Montgomery County Nursing Home and Assisted Living staff and administrators have plans to expand visitation at both facilities as active COVID-19 cases dip into single digits in the county.
Nursing Home Director Tommy Johnston is excited about the upcoming expansion of visitation at the nursing home and assisted living facility. The nursing home has been free of any positive test results for two weeks, while the assisted living has just began the two week process.
Johnston explained that while the nursing home has been free of positive cases in residents and staff for two weeks, assisted living had a staff member test positive a couple weeks ago. They tested negative this past week so the assisted living facility should expand their visitation schedule soon.
A letter presented by staff and administration from the nursing home and assisted living facility found on Page 9 in this week’s issue of the Montgomery County News outlines visitation requirements and guidelines. The letter can also be found at the bottom of this article.
All visits must be scheduled with Sherrie Morris. She can be reached by phone at (870) 867-2156 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
You are asked to be on time for your visit. All visits will be limited to 15 minutes.
You are asked to remain in your vehicle when you arrive and call to let the staff know you have arrived. They will come check your temperature and complete a visitor screening form prior to your visit. All visitors must sanitize their hands prior to visiting and must wear a mask during the visit. All visitors must maintain at least six feet from the person they are visiting and the visits will not allow physical contact.
You must not enter the facility if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, flu or almost any other symptoms.
Director Johnston is very pleased with how his staff has worked through their pandemic and is thankful for the prayers around the community during this crisis.
