Missy Keenom has announced her intention to run for Montgomery County Treasurer. Below is her announcement.
Hello, my name is Missy Keenom and I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for Montgomery County Treasurer.
I have lived most of my life right here in Montgomery County. I am a graduate of Mount Ida High School. I have been married to my husband, James, for 31 years. Together we have 3 daughters, 2 granddaughters, and one grandson. We are active members of our church, Community Outreach Ministries.
I began working part-time as Deputy Clerk for the County and Circuit Clerk’s office in 2011. Since then I have also worked part-time as the Deputy Treasurer for the Montgomery County Treasurer’s office. For the past 6 years I have been the Chief Deputy Treasurer for the Montgomery County Treasurer’s office. I feel confident my 10 years of experience, knowledge, and understanding will help me serve as Treasurer of Montgomery County.
It would be an honor and privilege to serve as your County Treasurer, and I would very much appreciate your vote in 2022.
