Greg Harmon

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office CID Greg Harmon has recently announced that he will be running in the upcoming Montgomery County Sheriff’s race. His announcement is printed below.
Today  I›m announcing my candidacy for Montgomery County Sheriff.
In 1998 my wife of 41 years Sandra Harmon and I moved to Montgomery County. We raised three wonderful children. Gary, Samantha and Tabitha which are all very hard workers. We operated the narrow store as kettle one stop until 2007. In 2008 I began my adventures in law enforcement. In 2009 I completed the part-time 2 class with Pike County and received my certificate.
In 2011 I started working part time in Montgomery County when sheriff David White took office.
In 2012 I started working full time in Montgomery County . I completed my training at Aleta in Camden Arkansas that same year. Along the way with Montgomery County I have completed the CID class at Aleta. I have completed a six-month CID class with CJI in Little Rock and numerous other classes along the way.
Since being with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office I have worked as a patrol officer made my way to Corporal, then Sargent, then Lieutenant, a position I hold at this time. In 2019 I went to Pike County as chief deputy until the end of the year 2020 where I come back home to Montgomery County as the CID person.
I am very proud to call Montgomery County home. I will do what it takes to make the county a place where we can all can be proud to call it home.
As your Montgomery County Sheriff I will utilize any and all possible resources available to the sheriff’s office to reach all of our goals. To make Montgomery County a better place.
My wife and I would love nothing more than to serve you as your next Montgomery County sheriff.
