The Chamber of Commerce announce that its that time of year. Who do you think are exceptional volunteer contributors in the county? Woman of the Year, Man of the Year, Business of the Year, and Non-profit of the Year nominations are open March 3 through March 16.
Ultimately the winners will be announced at the Chamber’s annual community banquet, April 16, at The Lake Ouachita Baptist Church. Details about the banquet will be announced later.
As usual, county residents may nominate those individuals that reflect outstanding volunteer service to the public, as well as a commercial business and a non-profit organization that best reflects good business practices and work toward making Montgomery County a better place to live and work.
Nominations will be accepted two possible ways.
1. Pick up a nomination form at the chamber office, complete it and turn it in at the office. The office is open Monday through Saturday, 10am – 2pm.
2. Send an email to director@mtidachamber.com with your nominations. Please make the subject line VOLUNTEER NOMINATIONS, and simply state the category (for example Woman of the Year), name, and why you are making this nomination. You may nominate in all four categories on the same email message.
The nomination form asks you to describe why you are nominating this person or organization. Those descriptions are important as they will ultimately be a part of determining the final winners.
It’s that time of the year. Make your nominations now while it’s on your mind.
