Caddo Hills School District will be looking into the possibility of using their newly acquired property as a home for a medical center. The decision to reach out to area medical facilities was made Monday, October 12, at their regular monthly meeting.
Discussion regarding what to do with the property included three options. Superintendent Deric Owens stated that the board could either rent the home located on the property to a school employee, sell the home and surrounding property, use the building as administrative offices, or they could use the home to house a medical center.
Owens stated that the facility would provide medical care for students and possibly residents in the community. Owens shared that at least one medical clinic in the area has expressed interest in partnering with the school to provide medical care for the students.
The board voted to pursue using the existing structure as a home for a medical center.
