Since 2003 the Heritage House Museum Board of Directors has selected an individual to receive the Richard R. “Dick” Whittington Award. This award is presented in memory of Mr. Whittington, the museum’s benefactor. The yearly selection of the recipient is based on a person’s outstanding contributions to the museum. This can be because of their volunteer service, advocacy for the museum and its mission, financial contribution, or in this year’s case all of the above.
This year Bill Brown was selected as the recipient of the award. He has worked many hours on our computer and security systems. Many times when leaving the museum after working he would say “now I have to go to my real job”. In the photo Bill is being presented the award by Karen Hamilton, President of the Board of Directors.
