Alleged shooting leads to murder charge

An alleged shooting near Glenwood has left one man dead and another in custody.
According to a statement released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, They received a call at approximately 1:26 a.m. Friday, December 17, reporting a shooting at 379 Campbell Road.
When officers arrived on the scene they discovered a deceased individual near the driveway at the reported address. Montgomery County Investigator Greg Harmon and Corporal Josh Baker processed the scene and a suspect was taken into custody.
Beau Khristian Beck was in court Tuesday, December 21, for a first appearance. He was charged with one count of murder in the first degree, a class Y felony. The public defender was appointed to represent him and formal arraignment was set for January 7, 2022. His bond was set at $250,000.
The name of the victim has net been released at this time. Prosecuting Attorney Jason Barrett stated that there has been a request for the case files to be sealed at this time.
An active investigation into the matter continues. The Glenwood Police Department and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
All persons mentioned are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
