Active cases continue to drop in Montgomery County

Montgomery County continues to see the number of active cases drop this week despite outbreaks in neighboring counties.
As of Monday, Montgomery County was reporting only six active cases of COVID-19. This is down two cases from last week’s total of eight. The County is reporting 182 cumulative cases with 179 confirmed cases and three probable cases. There have been 168 recoveries (165 confirmed, three probable) and eight deaths. There have been a total of 3,033 tests administered with 2,852 negative test results (2,641 PCR, 211 Antigen)
A pair of neighboring counties have seen spikes in active cases in the past week.
Garland County is reporting 241 active cases Monday, an increase of 76 active cases since last Monday. They are reporting 2020 confirmed cases and 39 probable cases. They have 2,448 cumulative cases (2,353 confirmed, 95 probable), 2,143 recoveries (2,092 confirmed, 51 probable) and 64 deaths (59 confirmed, 5 probable).
Scott County’s active case total has more than doubled with 72 active cases (67 confirmed, five probable) being reported Monday. This is an increase of 49 cases since last Monday. They are reporting 213 cumulative cases (204 confirmed, 9 probable), 140 recoveries (136 confirmed, 4 probable) and one death.
Hot Spring County is reporting 125 active cases (117 confirmed, 17 probable), 2,203 cumulative (2,176 confirmed, 27 probable), 2,042 recoveries (2,025 confirmed, 17 probable) and 36 deaths (34 confirmed, 2 probable).
Clark County is reporting 46 active cases (42 confirmed, 4 probable), 495 cumulative (452 confirmed, 43 probable), 444 recoveries (405 confirmed, 39 probable) and 5 deaths.
Howard County is reporting 40 active cases (31 confirmed, 9 probable), 578 cumulative (524 confirmed, 54 probable), 524 recoveries (479 confirmed, 45 probable) and 14 deaths.
Yell County is reporting 26 active cases (25 confirmed, 1 probable), 1,339 cumulative (1,326 confirmed, 13 probable), 1,282 recoveries (1,273 confirmed, 9 probable) and 31 deaths (28 confirmed, 3 probable).
Polk County is reporting 21 active cases, 354 cumulative (347 confirmed, 7 probable), 328 recoveries (321 confirmed, 7 probable) and 5 deaths.
Pike County is reporting 12 active cases (9 confirmed, 3 probable), 266 cumulative (254 confirmed, 12 probable), 253 recoveries (245 confirmed, 8 probable) and q probable death.
Statewide there are 106,727 cumulative cases reported with 99,410 confirmed cases and 7,317 probable cases. There have been 95,314 recoveries. There were 9,571 active cases reported Monday with 7,995 confirmed cases and 1,576 probable cases. Total active cases are up from last Monday when the state was reporting 8,658 active cases (7,450 confirmed, 1,208 probable).
